Symptom, Weight, and Wellness Tracking That Catches Patterns
PetCure health tracking turns scattered observations — appetite, energy, mobility, weight — into a real history you and your vet can actually use.
PetCure health tracking lets you log six types of health entries, rate appetite, energy, mobility, and mood, add optional symptom tags, track weight over time against a goal range, and see it summarized as a Wellness Score and adherence reading on the Health tab.
What it does
The Health tab centers on a Wellness Score and Adherence reading, a 'Latest Snapshot' of four vitals — Appetite, Energy, Mobility, and Mood — each on a simple meter, and a Top Insights list surfacing anything that stands out from recent entries.
Logging a health entry supports six log types — General Health Log, Daily Check-in, Symptom Event, Vet Note, Medication Reaction, and Emergency Note. You can rate appetite, energy, and mobility, pick a mood, and optionally add symptom tags (such as coughing, limping, itching, or low appetite), notes, and photos.
Weight tracking sits alongside health logs: a trend chart shows weight over time, a goal range flags when a pet drifts outside it, and a change-alert system highlights meaningful shifts — because weight change is often the earliest sign something needs a vet's attention.
Key capabilities
Six log types
General logs, daily check-ins, symptom events, vet notes, medication reactions, and emergency notes — each with relevant fields.
Weight trend & goals
A running weight chart with a target range and alerts when a pet drifts outside it or changes suddenly.
Wellness Score
An overall reading built from recent appetite, energy, and mobility logs — shown alongside adherence on the Health tab.
Symptom tags & meters
Rate core vitals and optionally tag symptoms like coughing, limping, itching, or low appetite.
How it works
Log what you noticed
Pick the closest log type, rate appetite, energy, and mobility, and add optional symptoms or notes.
Add a weight check when relevant
Weigh-ins feed the same trend chart and goal-range alerts automatically.
Watch the pattern, not just the moment
The Wellness Score and Top Insights surface trends across logs, not just a single entry.
Real-world use cases
- Catching a gradual appetite decline over three weeks that would be easy to miss day to day.
- A weight check flagged as "outside range" prompting an earlier vet visit than usual.
- A clear symptom timeline ready to hand to a vet instead of a verbal best guess.
Free vs Premium
The Free plan includes up to 30 health logs per pet per month, enough for regular check-ins on a couple of pets.
Premium removes the monthly log limit entirely and raises the pet-profile limit to 10 — built for pets with more active conditions or multi-pet households logging daily.
