Never Miss, Never Double: Medication Reminders for the Whole Family
PetCure medication management tracks doses, schedules, and refills in one shared place, so every caregiver in the household knows what has and hasn't been given.
PetCure's medication management lets you schedule doses with flexible timing and units, confirm each dose with Give Dose (not just a reminder), track refill stock with low-supply alerts, and warn the household when a dose may already have been logged by someone else.
What it does
Adding a medication in PetCure captures the dose amount, a unit chosen from a fixed list (tablet, capsule, chew, drop, patch, ml, IU, and more), schedule type, multiple daily times, specific weekdays, a start date, and whether the medication needs to be given with food.
Instead of a reminder that just says a dose is due, PetCure distinguishes between due and given: tapping Give Dose writes a real entry to the pet's history, and if a second caregiver later tries the same slot, PetCure detects and flags a possible duplicate before they log it again — the single biggest cause of accidental double-dosing.
For medications that run out, PetCure tracks refill stock and pharmacy details and raises a low-stock alert before a pet's supply hits zero, so refills happen on a schedule instead of in a panic.
Key capabilities
Flexible dosing
Dose amount, selectable unit, multiple daily times, specific weekdays, and food requirements.
Refill & pharmacy tracking
Stock levels, pharmacy info, and a low-supply alert threshold so refills happen before a pet runs out.
Duplicate-dose protection
PetCure detects and warns when a dose may already have been given by another household member.
Confirmed dose history
Every Give Dose action is logged with who and when — a real record, not just a dismissed reminder.
How it works
Add the medication
Set dose, unit, schedule, and refill details once — including a photo of the medication if useful.
Get reminded, then Give Dose
When a dose is due on Today or Meds, tap Give Dose to log it as completed.
Track adherence and refills
Adherence and refill risk update automatically from confirmed doses and stock levels.
Real-world use cases
- A senior dog on 3+ daily medications, tracked without a spreadsheet or sticky notes.
- Two parents alternating who feeds and medicates the family cat — without double-dosing.
- A pharmacy refill scheduled a week ahead instead of discovered empty on dose day.
Free vs Premium
Every PetCure plan can track medications with full scheduling, Give Dose confirmation, and refill alerts.
The Free plan supports up to 5 active medications per pet. Premium removes that limit entirely, alongside unlimited health logs and up to 10 pet profiles — built for households managing multiple pets or multiple conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Can PetCure track medication refills?
Yes. PetCure can track medication quantities and pharmacy information and alert users when supplies are running low.
Can multiple family members manage a pet's medications?
Yes. Family sharing lets multiple caregivers view doses and tap Give Dose, with PetCure detecting and flagging likely duplicate entries between them.
How many medications can I track per pet?
The Free plan supports up to 5 active medications per pet. Premium supports unlimited active medications.
Does PetCure just remind me, or does it track what was actually given?
Both — reminders tell you a dose is due, and tapping Give Dose writes a real, timestamped entry to the pet's medication history.
What units does PetCure support for dosing?
You choose a unit from a fixed list when adding a medication — tablets, capsules, chews, drops, patches, milliliters, IU, and more.
PetCure does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. The app is for organization and tracking only. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical concerns.
